Purvis Street in Singapore is a lined up with a lot of nice eating places. It has food to suit budgets of all sizes. One of the nice ones I come back to is the playfully named place Miss Clarity Cafe. The interiors have a more “girly” feel evidently catering to the younger crowd. Although, the place certainly has it own fair share of more mature customers.
Miss Clarity Cafe is place which serves what is known as “western” food in Singapore. “Western” food is basically along the lines to pork chops, steak, deep fried fish fillet served with French fries. The “western” food here is certainly much more palatable the ones in the food courts or hawker centers.
We ordered several dishes and managed to sample them from each other. I am glad to say that their food is quite nice. A little more expensive than the average “western” food stall in Singapore but you get nicely cooked food with a little ambience.
Service is prompt and efficient. Sometimes though it could get crowded and a queue would form outside the shop, so it is best to come early. They also have several branches around Singapore. The one we went to was at the town area. The nearest MRT station would be City Hall.
